BF2 Problem..No Single Player

Ok this is drivin me nuts.maybe someone can help Smile

I had 2 different copies of bf2 installed

the first copy worked fine,single player and everything,I took this one out

and bought the complete collection of bf2 and installed that one,this is when the problem of no SP began Crying or Very sad

could there be a conflict in the registry?since I had 2 different copies installed?

and how do I get in there to have a look,I dont want to install the mods till I get this fixed

Really need this fixed to play HB's custom maps Wink

when in the game and I select the singleplayer tab

I pick a map to play and click start singleplayer

It starts to load the map and half way through,I am kicked back to the desktop

Cop-op works fine but no SP? Maybe it has to do with incompatible hardware...

it crashes to desktop,no matter what i am playin..I tried it when I reinstalled BF2,before any mods were installed and its the same deal no sp,after I installed the mods I tried it again with them and no sp in any mods Crying or Very sad

and yes it was patched with 1.41

I think it has somethin to do with the fact that I have 2 different copies of bf2 installed at different times in this computer,because it worked fine until I installed the complete collection of bf2..thats when things went wacky

2 copies are probably listed in the registy and thats the conflict(i bet)

but I dont know how to sort it out Wink

i already tried that...........I took out the complete collection and reinstalled the one that worked and patched it with no luck Crying or Very sad

done this when I had the virus problem and had it removed..........As a result of the problem I told HB to remove me from testing because there is no way to play the maps

Once again,you NEED to be more specific
The map loads to a certain percentage ?
Can you play co-op/conquest ?
Have you tried more than 1 map ?

The map makes no attempt to load,and have tried all kinds of maps in singleplayer with all the mods,and I can play everything great online with no problem including conquest and coop in all mods...everything works great .just no SP

I think the problem is in the registry it is seeing 2 copies of bf2 and there lies the conflict
until I can clear that back to one copy it will not work.and I dont know how to fix that problem in the registry
